Guest Speaker invitation

I am writing to ask if you may be interested in being featured as a guest on The Making Learning Addictive broadcast series . This series shines a light on the amazing people, tools, concepts, strategies and overall EDU goodness that makes learning engaging, exciting and addictive for all learners.

Here’s a little more info to help you make up your mind…

What is Making Learning Addictive or MLA? In a nutshell MLA aims to disrupt the cemetery row belief in education along with inequitable practices that prevent all learners from having the opportunities they need, determined by themselves in order to be successful. Sometimes that is done through storytelling, demonstration of engaging tools, sitting down and talking with successful partners who are also seeking out ways to make learning addictive. I believe the learning doesn’t happen the same way for everyone. Even my 4 kids seem like different species when it comes to learning. However, I am passionate about finding ways to make them fall in love with learning to where it’s a natural part of their lives.  What is needed are inspiring and real stories from people who are questioning the way we do eduction and who have made – or are in the process of making – this transition. The show is just beginning and  I would love to explore your story and what it’s really taken for you to do the work you are doing today.

The interview will be conducted via Skype, Google Meet or Zoom and will be broadcasted out live on Periscope and Youtube with a link pushed to Facebook on a delay. I’ll need you for about 30-45 minutes that includes 15 minutes on either end for set up. Typically, the show runs for 15 - 20 minutes. The audio will be available later as a part of my free podcast series available via Apple Podcasts. You just need to make sure you’re in a quiet place with a microphone (your computer’s in-built microphone is usually fine) and preferably a headset (simple iPhone earbuds are normally fine) as this reduces feedback in the audio recording.

To help you prepare, here is a list of common topics we will most likely cover.

What you do

The Why behind what you do

The difficult part of what you do

What keeps you smiling when doing your work

Most importantly, how what you do impacts the learner in an addictive way

Next steps… If it’s a yes, just click this link to my scheduling system where you can choose from some suggested dates and times so we can find a suitable time for an interview. Please let me know if you have any questions. I am excited to share your story.

Sincerely,
